Why a two-person studio keeps a public notebook — and how writing changes the way we build.
We publish field notes for a selfish reason: writing forces clarity. If we can't explain a decision in a few hundred words, we usually don't understand it well enough to have shipped it.

Drafting a note about a feature surfaces every hand-wave in the thinking. More than once, the act of writing the explanation has killed the feature — which is a cheap and excellent outcome.
If you can't write the decision down clearly, you haven't finished making it.
The notebook is also how clients find us. Not through ads or funnels — through someone reading a note, recognising their own problem in it, and sending an email. Slower than marketing. Better fit every time.
